Adele updated fans on the status of her long-awaited new album during her Saturday Night Live performance this weekend.
The hitmaker Someone Like You hosted the sketch comedy show live from New York City, recounting his first appearance on the show 12 years ago, calling it his “big break” in the United States, during his monologue.
He then went on to provide an update on his upcoming album, the 2015 follow-up to 25.
“My record is not finished yet… I’d rather wear wigs, have a glass of wine or six and see what happens,” laughed the hitmaker.
Adele also touched on her incredible weight loss, joking: “I know I look really different from the last time you saw me, but, actually, due to all the Covid restrictions and travel bans, I had to travel. light and I could only bring half of myself, and this is the half I chose. “
Elsewhere on the show, the 32-year-old played herself competing on a sketch to the theme of The Bachelor, during which she began randomly breaking songs, singing her hits, including When We Were Young and Hello.
“Hi, I’m Adele Adkins, I’m 32,” she said in the play.
“You may know me as singer Adele. I’m here because I’ve had a lot of heartaches in my life,” she continued.
“First at 19, and then as something famous at 21. And then even more famous at 25,” Adele joked, referencing the number titles of her first three albums.
