A Warning About Today’s ‘Fortnite’ Galactus Live Event

Today marks what may end up being the largest live event in Fortnite history, and considering this is a game that dropped a meteor on the map, smashed an iceberg on the map, drowned the map, and made Travis Scott perform a 1,000 foot tall concert. on the map, that’s saying something.

The event this time has to do with a massive, full-scale fight against Galactus, which I think may be something akin to him having a billion-person HP pool that millions of players across all servers have to cut down. What I’m hearing is “an interactive Marvel movie” in terms of the goal here.

But there is a warning that I want to give you for this event, because I wish I had followed you at the last event. Be Of course to make sure you get there early. Very early.

In fact, I was left out of Fortnite’s big “drown the map” event after Chapter 2 of season 2, which marked the first time I had always missed a big live event in the game. I showed up exactly when Epic told me to, but there were server issues and when I was able to get in, actually closed the event, something he had never seen before. Instead, I had to watch it on Twitch.

I don’t know if this will be a “limited seats only” event again, but Epic again recommends showing up early. Path early indeed. The event is at 4 p.m. ET, but Epic says log in to less 60 minutes early, before 3pm ET, to get a spot. The actual event playlist won’t be live until 3:30 PM ET, but you at least want to be in Fortnite and make sure all of your patches are up to date, as it may take a while to apply.

I really hope this is not another event that blocks a lot of people, as speaking from experience, it’s not as much fun to stream these things as it is to experience them yourself live. Honestly, I’m probably going to log in around 2:15 ET, just be ultra secure because I don’t want it to repeat the last time. It’s not like you need it do anything once you’ve logged in, as you really can’t until the playlist goes live, but from all I’ve heard this is going to be an event you 100% don’t want to miss.

Now, which of my 12 or more Marvel skins should I use for this thing? That is the real question at hand here.
