According to Deadline, that’s exactly what Tom Cruise and Elon Musk plan to do. Well, no exactlyBut the actor and founder of SpaceX are allegedly working with NASA to potentially shoot an action movie, the first narrative movie ever, in the icy void of space. According to the deadline, they are reportedly in the “early stages” of planning, and no studies are involved as of yet.
On the one hand, space movies are a natural progression of Mission Impossible to Mission: literally impossible, zero gravity would help prevent Any stunt-induced fracture, and it’s a great location to avoid COVID-19. On the downside, a small mistake, and Tom Cruise will spiral away towards the icy voice from space mentioned above. That said … we would all see this, right? Opening night?
