Cristiano Ronaldo left Madeira to return to Italy with his family after almost two months on his native island.

The 35-year-old driver was driven by a chauffeur to the airport named after him so he could board his Gulfstream G200 Galaxy on Monday night with his girlfriend Georgina Rodríguez and their four children.

The £ 20 million plane left just after 6 p.m. local time and will arrive in Turin in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Ronaldo is expected to have to isolate himself for fifteen days by order of the club before resuming training with the rest of the Juventus team before a possible return to Serie A football.

Reports over the weekend claimed his return plans were being thwarted by Spanish airspace problems, but his private jet landed in Madeira on Sunday to carry luggage and three employees, including a bodyguard, to Italy before returning on Monday for the afternoon to the island.

Ronaldo has been in Madeira since March 9 with his family, the longest stay he has enjoyed there since he became a professional footballer.

He made an initial 24-hour trip back to her native island after Dolores’ March 3 stroke to see her in the hospital before returning with her four children and Georgina just under a week after the suspension of soccer from the A series.

On Saturday he went sightseeing with his partner and son. Cristiano Ronaldo Jr after a series of grueling workouts he’s been trying to catch a glimpse of fans on Instagram.

On Sunday night, Ronaldo posted what is expected to be his last photo of Madeira for the remainder of the season, showing himself relaxed with a mug in his luxurious beachfront rented villa.

He said next to the photo: “Reflections by the sea”.

Her sister Katia Aveiro responded with the words “Amor meu”, in Portuguese for “My love”.

Ronaldo and his family spent most of their time in Madeira in a £ 3,500 per week rented mansion with a garden and pool near the fishing village of Canical.

They moved there from the seven-story apartment block in Funchal, the capital, a half-hour drive that he bought last year.

Her mother Dolores and her brother Hugo and their family live on the lower floors of the apartment block.

Last month, Ronaldo raised his eyebrows when he returned to celebrate his niece Alicia’s 21st birthday party despite the coronavirus crisis.

On Sunday, Mother’s Day in Portugal, he and his three brothers presented Dolores with a new Mercedes with an estimated value of nearly £ 100,000.

He showed off his new wheelset on social media along with a bouquet of flowers that his children also gave him, saying, “Thank you my children for the gifts I received from them today.

“Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers.”
