Ethiopia confirmed one more Coronavirus patient in the last twenty-four hours. 1408 samples were analyzed during the established time, according to the Ministry of Health.

The confirmed cases of Coronavirus in the country are now 131.

The last confirmed case is identified as 45-year-old women from Bahir Dar. She has no travel history, but rather exposure to an infected person. Yesterday, four cases were confirmed in the Somali region of Ethiopia.

And one more patient has recovered, as reported by the Ministry of Health. The total number of confirmed recovery cases has reached 59.

Currently, there are 67 patients in COVID19 treatment centers in different parts of the country.

Ethiopia has so far tested 17,842 suspected cases. Ethiopia now has the ability to test up to 4,000 samples per day at 12 Coronavirus labs across the country.

On April 8, 2020, a state of emergency was declared in relation to the coronavirus situation in the country, since enforcing prevention measures, including social distance, was difficult for cultural and social reasons. The country’s churches and mosques do not serve the faithful.

The land border with six neighboring countries is closed. Travelers arriving in the country through Bole International Airport must go through two weeks of mandatory quarantine.
