We have been waiting LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga for a couple of years, but now it looks like we will have to wait a little longer. Traveller’s Tales announced today that the game has been delayed beyond its original spring release, although the company was exceptionally light on details when it comes to why the game is delayed.
In truth, we never had a specific release date for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga to begin with, but now its release date has become an even more nebulous concept. While Traveller’s Tales announced the game’s delay today, it didn’t actually provide us with a new release date or even a release window. You can see the studio’s statement on the lag embedded in the tweet below.
“Everyone at TT Games is working hard to make LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga the biggest and best LEGO game ever, but we’re going to need more time to make it, ”the studio said. “We will not be able to meet the expected spring release date, but we will provide the update release time as soon as possible.”
Unfortunately for us, that statement does not indicate how advanced the development is. The Skywalker saga is. That makes it impossible to predict the new release time, so we could be waiting a few months or we could be seeing a release that has been delayed more than that. With Traveller’s Tales originally targeting a spring release, the hope is that the studio gets closer to the finish line and just needs more time to apply a bit of polish and remove some bugs, but no more from the company, that it is pure speculation on our part.
It seems safe to assume that LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga it will be quite a big game when it is finally released as it will feature a game centered around the main 9 lines Star Wars films. We’ll let you know when there are more details to share, so stay tuned for more.
