Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt RED is working to bring patch 1.2 to eager gamers ASAP.
The company made an announcement via its official website on March 19 about an upcoming series of augmentations to the game intended to address a variety of bugs and glitches that have remained in the game since its debut.
CD Projekt RED intends to fix the issues surrounding the Night City Police Department and the way officers seemingly appear out of nowhere behind players. Starting with this patch, that strange issue should be resolved, as well as the general behavior of the officers. The next time players have done something to justify police intervention, they will also have to deal with flying drones, which are new to the game.
The police aren’t the only aspect of Cyberpunk 2077 that has seen some tweaks. The cars have also been modified, including the player’s car assigned at the beginning of the game. The issues related to vehicular collision have also been resolved, but in the case there are still problems to get stuck, CD Projekt RED has a solution for that too. It’s called the “take-off feature” and it will allow players to move a vehicle from side to side in an attempt to get out of a tight spot.
It could also be easier to outrun the police, should users need it, thanks to frame rate improvements that directly affect driving.
“When we experienced lower frame rates, our cars were more difficult to control,” explained CDPR. “We have traced this down to code that did not handle extreme frame rate changes correctly. Steering speed is now very constant at 20 to over 60 FPS. “
As for when players can expect update 1.2, that’s still not certain as there is no release date. But it would be a good idea to keep an eye on all Cyberpunk 2077 social channels for updates.
