Microsoft may have fixed what was not broken with the Windows 10 BSOD printer patch

If you’re the type of person who would be amused to learn that a humble printer can blue-screen your entire Windows 10 PC, here’s a dose of schadenfreude to welcome you to the weekend: When Microsoft Tried repair Those blue screen issues with a patch from Monday, the patch may not have gone as planned – some users started reporting that their printers were just spitting out blank pages or missing graphics.

Now the company released a second patch to address those issues as well (via ZDNet):

Microsoft identified an issue affecting Windows 10 devices that applied the March 2021 security update released on March 9, 2021 and the out-of-band updates released on March 15, 2021, and a resolution has been accelerated. Affected devices may receive unexpected results when printing from some applications or printers. Problems can include solid or missing color graphics, misalignment / formatting issues, or blank page / label printing.

Some users say it works and may even fix some additional blue screen computers. Some say they still have problems. If you are affected, good luck!
