Razer has announced its new Anzu smart glasses, which are intended for Amazon’s Echo Frames. Like the latest smart glasses, the new Razer Anzu works by integrating audio speakers directly into the frame of the glasses, near the temple area.
The Anzu glasses will cost $ 199.99 (roughly Rs 14,600) and will be available in two designs, one rectangular and one with a round frame. Additionally, each of these designs will be available in small and large sizes.
Razer will also offer two sets of lenses in the Anzu package. These will include a pair of regular glasses and another pair that blocks 35 percent of blue light. Razer also includes a pair of sunglasses with 99% UV protection.
Razer Anzu will feature TWS audio
A new truly wireless design implemented in the Razer Anzu allows the left and right speaker unit to be completely separated from each other. Depending on the brand, this allows the frame to provide users with more comfort and flexibility.
However, this also means that you have to charge both ends of the glasses separately. There are charging pin connectors in each of the temple areas for this. There are 16mm drivers on each end and they also support touch gestures. These allow you to change tracks, answer calls, and activate the Google Assistant.
Speaking of gestures, the Razer Anzu also turns off when you fold the glasses. Once you open the glasses, they will quickly pair with the last connected device.
Integration with Lensabi for prescription lenses
For users who need prescription glasses, Razer has you covered. The brand has partnered with Lensabi for a 15 percent discount that is available to Anzu shoppers. While this still means you’ll end up paying a decent sum, that’s the only option for now if you want to add prescription lenses to the Razer Anzu.
