A few months after Bentley announced that it will become fully electric by 2030, Jaguar Land Rover announces that the Jaguar line will become fully electric by 2025 and that the company aims to achieve net zero carbon emissions across its entire chain of supply by 2039.
“Jaguar Land Rover is unique in the global automotive industry. Unmatched model designers, an unmatched understanding of its customers’ future luxury needs, emotionally rich brand equity, a British spirit, and unmatched access to the world’s leading players in technology and sustainability the broader Tata Group, “said CEO Thierry Bolloré in a statement.
“We’re leveraging those ingredients today to reinvent the business, the two brands, and the customer experience of tomorrow. The Reimagine strategy allows us to enhance and celebrate that uniqueness like never before. Together, we can engineer an even more sustainable and positive impact on the world. Around us.”
Additionally, by 2030, all Jaguar and Land Rover nameplates will be available in purely electric forms, except for the Jaguar XJ, which will not be part of the all-electric lineup. The UK plans to ban the sale of new gasoline and diesel cars from 2030.
