A difficult end of reign for Ahmad Ahmad

The CAF Executive Committee, meeting today in Yaoundé, has made President Ahmad Ahmad, recently reinstated as head of the CAF after the CAS decision, dark hours.

In fact, members of the executive committee persistently requested and obtained Ahmad Ahmad’s withdrawal for the remaining three-quarters of the executive committee meeting.

The discussions were very hot, with clear demands for a provisional withdrawal of the CAF leadership, not only from Ahmad Ahmad but also from Constant Omari, pending the CAS decision, scheduled for early March.

Another great denial by Ahmad Ahmad is the rejection, almost unanimously by the members of the CAF executive committee, of the surprise decision of the government committee, which defended the eligibility of Ahmad Ahmad for the presidency of CAF.

Many observers informed of the mysteries of African football would have already advised Ahmad Ahmad to withdraw himself pending the final decision of the TAS.
