Google displays are finally getting features that have been promised for a while, including one that was announced at CES 2020. These capabilities, including Sticky Notes, have been slowly rolling out for some users, but are now appearing on more devices.

Sticky Notes is a specific skill that is what it sounds like, a visual note that stays on the screen that people can add by saying out loud, “Ok Google, leave a familiar note.” The note appears on the home screen if touched, and also as a widget in the “Your night” settings.
Apparently that feature now works not only on native Google displays like the Nest Hub or Nest Hub Max, but also on the Lenovo Smart Display with Google Assistant inside, according to Android Police. People can locate it in the function of the Family tab.
The note stays on the main screen, which means that of course anyone can see it, which can be useful if you’re reminding someone to feed the dog or pick up a little sister from school. You can also see who left it, when they left it, and delete it by just pressing hard on the note and then discarding or throwing it in the trash.
Dawn alarm

This feature, which slowly lights up the screen to wake someone up, is new to the Nest Hub, but we weren’t able to take advantage of it on the Nest Hub Max just yet. For us, we could only set an alarm in the settings, as shown above. But this is certainly a feature we’ve seen on other screens, including the Lenovo Smartwatch with the Google Assistant inside.
To activate the new alarm option, you will go to the alarm icon at the bottom of the screen or ask Google to take you to your alarms. If you are there, you will be able to select the Sunrise alarm option and even choose how long you want the sunrise effect to last from as little as five minutes to up to 30 minutes.
You can also link the alarm to smart lights, making them turn on, slowly, and an alarm that you can hear too.
