At the end of last year we heard a rumor about an upcoming phone called the Redmi Note 9T, and the new 2021 began with the confirmation of its arrival. The company’s Spanish branch tweeted a teaser about an upcoming launch on January 8 at 10 AM GMT, but the tweet was deleted shortly after.
A few minutes later, other Xiaomi accounts confirmed the phone again, although with a new time slot: 12PM GMT.

The key feature of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9T will be its 5G connectivity. The phone was already seen on Geekbench, so we know that it will run on Mediatek’s Dimensity 800U chipset and will have 4GB of RAM. Sadly, it will ship with Android 10 out of the box.
Another thing we can deduce from these advances is that the phone will have an oreo-shaped camera island, similar to the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G.
