Apple’s foldable iPhones have simply been a rumor in recent years. While the company has yet to comment on these speculations, HYPEBEAST ZH recently reported that two folding iPhone prototypes have passed the tech giant’s internal durability test.
According to Daily economic news, both models were produced at Foxconn’s factory in Shenzhen, China. One reportedly features a dual screen design, which Jon prosser predicted on Twitter last year: “The current prototype has two separate display panels on a hinge. Round stainless steel edges like [the] current iPhone 11 design. No notch: small front on outer screen housing Face ID. “In addition, Apple filed a patent in February 2020 for” electronic devices with flexible screens and hinges. “
The second prototype comes in a folding screen, reminiscent of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip. In September 2020, Apple reportedly ordered the screen samples from its competitor, according to Apple leaker “Ice Universe.”
Reports indicate that Apple’s new iPhones won’t be released until 2022 or 2023. The tech company is also rumored to launch the 12.9-inch iPad Pro mini-LED sometime this year.
