Steam has released its list of the 100 best games of 2020, which includes Cyberpunk 2077, Among usand Phasmophobia.
By dividing the winners into several categories, including new releases, early access graduates, and the best of virtual reality, Steam ranked its top 100 games by rankings of platinum, gold, silver, and bronze.
This year’s best sellers were pillars like Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Seige, dota 2 and Unknown Player Battlegrounds – but some newer titles made the cut. Among us was one of the escape games of 2020, along with Fall boys and Phasmophobia, all of which may, in part, have its popularity attributed to multiple crashes and the need to virtually reconnect with friends.
Cyberpunk 2077 It was rated a platinum title in some categories, which isn’t surprising considering it already broke the record for single-player games on Steam.
The Best of VR category showcased some classic titles, such as Super hot and Skyrim VRbut i saw Half Life: Alyx in the first place too. The most played games with controllers include Hades, Dark Souls III and FIFA 21 – all of which are also popular console games, which explains their improved compatibility.
Some amazing games appear on the list year after year, maintaining their popularity on Steam despite their age on the platform. Garry mod, Team Fortress 2 and 4 dead 2 all appeared as the most played games of the year, flanked by some newer additions like Football Manager 2021 and Eternal Doom.
