Police investigate 2 robberies at a Halifax convenience store and gas station

The Halifax Regional Police are investigating two robberies that occurred this morning in Halifax.

The first robbery occurred around 1:59 am at Needs Convenience at the corner of Herring Cove Road and Osborne Street.

“A man walked into the store and demanded cash,” says a press release. “The man fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported.”

The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s. At the time, they were wearing a black parka, a red sweatshirt underneath, glasses, and a mask.

The second robbery occurred around 4:35 am at the Irving gas station in the south end of Halifax.

“A man entered the store, threatened the clerk with a syringe and demanded cash,” says a press release. “The man fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported.”

The suspect is described as a white male in his 50s. At that time, they were wearing black clothes and a black mask.

Both investigations are in the early stages and investigators are asking anyone with information about the suspects or video from the areas to contact police at 902-490-5016.
