One of the COVID shots is great for people dabbling in facial fillers … but this is the bad kind of bloat.
It turns out that some people who received cosmetic facial fillers have had unique side effects with the Moderna vaccine … swelling and inflammation.
Some patients had fillers on their cheeks 6 months before being inoculated. One patient had lip fillers 2 days after receiving the vaccine.
As for why it happens, doctors say the vaccine puts your immune system into overdrive, and when it detects a substance that is not a natural part of the body it attacks, and that is what causes inflammation.
While this information is sure to send Los Angeles into panic mode, fear not, because symptoms are lessened by steroids and antihistamines.
Doctors say the side effects are not serious and should in no way stop people from getting the vaccine.
It appears that these side effects have not been seen with the Pfizer vaccine. Since Pfizer and Moderna are nearly identical, it is unclear why there are side effects with one but not the other.
