TFT – Teamfight Tactics Set 4.5 Executioner Trait Revealed
The latest patch for Cyberpunk 2077 removes the save file size limit on the PC, which should fix the problem of corrupted save files.
CD Projekt Red continues to produce revisions for Cyberpunk 2077 in hopes of bringing the game to playable state before the more massive patches arrive in January and February. The latest patch, hotfix 1.06, arrived today. While the list of fixes isn’t too long, it does address some very annoying issues.
Most notable is the removal of the 8MB save file size limit on PC. According to CDPR, this caused the files saved on the PC to get corrupted, so players were unable to load their game and had to restart. For whatever reason, the file size limit was the cause of this, so if players had too many items in their inventory, it would corrupt their save file. I don’t know why there was ever a size limit to begin with, but now it’s gone. Unfortunately this will not fix corrupted save files prior to upgrade.
On consoles, the hotfix improves memory management and stability. This should result in fewer crashes on Xbox and PlayStation.
There is only one other fix in the patch and that is that Dum Dum will no longer disappear from the Totentanz entrance during the “Second Conflict” mission.
Like I said, it is a short but effective patch. It addresses some of the biggest issues that spoil the overall game experience, such as constant crashes and corrupted save files. Both are major issues, so I am glad they are resolved.
As exciting as these enhancements are, CD Projekt Red still has a long way to go with Cyberpunk 2077. Two major updates are planned for early 2021 and these should help stabilize and fix many of the issues experienced on PS4 and Xbox One. Unfortunately, these won’t arrive until January and February.
