And mocks Soap’s arrival.

A new scene from Call of Duty: Warzone seems to end the current story of Modern Warfare, and heralds the arrival of John “Soap” MacTavish as a new operator.

THERE MAY BE SPOILERS FROM CALL OF DUTY AHEAD

This new scene, obtained after completing Warzone’s latest set of intelligence missions, shows Captain Price killing antagonist Victor Zakhaev and foiling his attempt to launch a nuclear strike.

At the end of the scene, we see Price and his comrades from Task Force 141, Nikolai, Alex, Ghost, Kyle, and Farah head out to deal with the ongoing conflict, calling for Soap to enter the battlefield.

YouTuber Geeky Pastimes, who focuses on the Call of Duty Easter eggs, appears to have been the first to complete the intelligence missions and publicize the scene:

That seems to be the case in the current Modern Warfare storyline, as it continued from the campaign through sloppy Special Ops mode and then into the Battle Royale Warzone. But it does suggest that there will be more content in Modern Warfare, despite the game’s now-synced progression with Black Ops Cold War season 1.

According to Modern Warzone, Modern Warfare is set to get two new operators, including Soap, three new weapons, and multiple new maps. If this is true, it will somehow appease Modern Warfare fans who feel the game from a year ago shouldn’t be left behind as Activision’s priority shifts to Black Ops Cold War and Warzone.
