Since last month, the rumor has been spilling information about Samsung’s Galaxy M12 mid-range phone. Recent information reveals that the smartphone has been certified by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the United States. The FCC certification has revealed the battery capacity of the Galaxy M12.
A previous report had claimed that the Samsung Galaxy M12 is equipped with a massive 7,000 mAh battery. However, the FCC list tells a different story. The Galaxy M12’s battery model number has been found to be EB-BM207ABY, which is nothing more than a 6,000 mAh cell.
Last week, the Galaxy M12 was spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking platform. The listing revealed that it is powered by the Exynos 850 chipset. The listing also revealed that the M12 is equipped with 3GB of RAM and Android 11 operating system.
So far, the Galaxy M12 has obtained approval from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Bluetooth SIG, and the Wi-Fi Alliance. The model number of the Galaxy M12 is SM-M127F / DS. It is speculated that it could be renamed the Galaxy F12 in some markets. The model number for the F12 is SM-F127G.
CAD versions of the Galaxy M12 that appeared last month revealed that it measures 163.9 x 75.9 x 8.9mm and houses a 6.5-inch Infinity-V notch display. The rear panel of the M12 has a unique double-textured design. The back cover of the phone has a square-shaped camera module that houses four lenses. Under the camera housing there is an LED flash unit. It has a side fingerprint scanner.
Samsung has yet to confirm the arrival of the Galaxy M12 smartphone. With many of the important certifications in tow, it seems that the launch of the M12 may not be far off.
