Microsoft has unveiled the first single player expansion for Gears 5 known as Hivebusters and is available starting next week.
Gears 5: Hivebusters It will arrive in the game on December 15 as a free download for all Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members on PC, Xbox One and Xbox series consoles. Anyone who isn’t can purchase the expansion separately for $ 19.99 USD or pick up the Gears 5: Game of the Year Edition which is released the same day.
The new content aims to mark the “limit” of the relaunch according to a Xbox Wire post, featuring a three-hour-long campaign featuring the game’s escape mode characters: Lahni, Keegan, and Mac. Players can tackle the campaign solo or in up to three-player co-op as the narrative is based on the first mission of the Hivebuster program and builds on the Gears Of War: Hivebuster graphic novel series.
A new trailer provided a first look at Gears 5: Hivebusters, demonstrating an ironic style that has been lacking in previous entries. Various locations, such as luxurious beaches and dense jungles, were shown as the backdrop to the chaotic action, before finally revealing a new type of enemy Swarm that the team will have to face.

Gears 5 is working as one of the biggest console titles in the Xbox series as of now, following Infinite HaloDelay. However, developer 343 Industries has stated that a “high-level update” will arrive sometime in the next few weeks.
