The fifth day of the Champions League season is complete, there is much to play in Groups A to H.
Tuesday’s action saw Liverpool beat Ajax 1-0 at Anfield tonight to secure a place in the round of 16.
Manchester City had already qualified for the round of 16 and secured first place with a goalless draw against FC Porto.
Elsewhere tonight, a Real Madrid lost 2-0 at Shakhtar Donetsk to jeopardize their hopes of reaching the round of 16; Inter Milan secured a vital 3-2 victory at Borussia Monchengladbach, while Atlético de Madrid drew 1-1 champions Bayern Munich in a tense duel between two of the favorites to win the competition this season.
Wednesday offered more drama, as PSG beat Manchester United 3-1 to leave the Red Devils needing a result against RB Leipzig on Matchday 6.
Olivier Giroud scored four goals and Chelsea won 4-0 in Seville, while Barcelona, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund won.
