President Donald Trump is not abandoning his push to overturn the election results in Wisconsin, despite state officials announcing that a recount in Milwaukee County had only added to the lead of Democrat Joe Biden.
“The Wisconsin recount is not about finding errors in the recount, it is about finding people who have voted illegally, and that case will start after the recount ends, on Monday or Tuesday,” Trump tweeted on Saturday.

Twitter flagged Trump’s tweet about “many illegal votes” for making a controversial claim about voter fraud.
Trump’s promise to file another legal case in Wisconsin comes after the recount results announced Friday in Milwaukee County, the most populous county in the state, gave Biden a net gain of 132 votes, out of nearly 460,000. issued. The Democrat got 257 votes to Trump’s 125.
Counts rarely show more than a small number of vote changes, and Milwaukee’s effort was no exception. Biden won the state by more than 20,000 votes, a result that is expected to be certified on Tuesday.
Results are expected Sunday from a recount in Wisconsin’s Dane County, which includes the Democratic-leaning state capital of Madison. The Trump campaign paid $ 3 million to the state of Wisconsin for counts in the two counties.
Silent in court
Trump and his legal team, led by Rudy Giuliani, have made multiple claims of voter fraud on Twitter and while speaking to the media. But those accusations have not surfaced in court, where evidence must be presented.
On Friday, a Trump-appointed judge in Pennsylvania took note of that discrepancy by rejecting the president’s attempt to reactivate a lawsuit seeking to overturn Biden’s state certification as a winner.

“The accusations of injustice are serious. But calling an election unfair does not mean that it is. The charges require specific accusations and then evidence. We don’t have any here, ”wrote United States Circuit Court Judge Stephanos Bibas.
Trump’s attorney, Jenna Ellis, promptly promised an appeal of the decision to the United States Supreme Court. Trump echoed that on Saturday, saying “we will appeal!” Another Trump tweet about Pennsylvania was also flagged by Twitter.
