Federation for Universal Peace: 70 years after the Korean War, world leaders call for peace at an online rally of hope

LONDON–(BUSINESS WIRE) –Million viewers tuned in hundreds of broadcast stations and they came together online to call for peace among nations at the third Rally of Hope sponsored by the Federation for Universal Peace (UPF) in Korea on Sunday, November 22. UPF was founded in 2005 by Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon Y Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon and it is an NGO with general consultative status to the United Nations.

Ms. Moon announced two new projects: establishing Korean War memorials in those nations that don’t yet have them, and creating an online registry of all those who sacrificed in some way to support Korea during its darkest hour.

“Around the world, unforeseen and unexpected challenges are emerging in the fields of politics, economics and religion,” he said. “We can see the limitations of relying solely on human efforts. The key to a beautiful future is to welcome God, Heavenly Father into our lives. ”

The rally featured musical and dance performances from The Angels Korean folk ballet troupe and commentary from world leaders and war veterans from a dozen countries on both sides of the conflict.
