IO Interactive, Hitman Developer Announced Project 007 on Thursday, a new game starring James Bond that will tell the story of the origin of the British Secret Service operation. In a press release, IO Interactive said Project 007 “It will feature a totally original Bond story exclusively as a video game.”
The teaser trailer lasts only a few seconds, but IO gave a few more details about the Project 007 website and in an official announcement. Project 007 is currently in active development at the IO Interactive offices in Copenhagen, Denmark, and Malmö, Sweden, on “modern systems and platforms” – presumably meaning current-generation PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles, as well as Windows PCs.
We still don’t know much about what Project 007 it will be seen, although the name is not final. But it looks like the game will tell a new Bond story, where players must “earn their 00 status.”
The next James Bond movie, No time to die, is scheduled to hit theaters on April 2, 2021, after being delayed for a year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
