If you need more Lego Mario in your life, six new Mario-themed sets are on the way.
Mario Lego sets bring the classic video game to life. You move a battery-powered Lego Mario figure through a Lego obstacle course built with the help of a companion smartphone app. The Bluetooth-enabled Lego Mario has a sensor on its feet, which scans special stickers on Lego bricks to earn coins, displayed via a small LED display on the front panel.
The first kit, the Lego Super Mario Starter Course, debuted a few months ago, but another set, in addition to three expansion kits, two power-up kits, and a new character pack, will launch on January 1.

The $ 59.99 Master Your Adventure Maker is a 366-piece creative toolbox that allows the builder to customize how Mario and other characters earn coins. Players can change the way Lego Mario reacts to three different bricks, while a new Start Pipe piece allows you to change the order of play.

Lego also updated the Super Mario character packs to include 10 new buildable characters. You don’t know what you’ll get until you open the box, but options include a huckit crab, a spiny cheep cheep, a ninji, a foo, a parachute goomba, a fly-type, a poisonous mushroom, a para-beetle, a jerk, or a bone goomba. They cost $ 5 each.
“It wouldn’t be Super Mario if we weren’t constantly creating new worlds and adventures for everyone’s favorite plumber,” said Simon Kent, design director and creative lead on the project.
