(Pocket-lint) – Zoom has announced that its usual 40-minute limit for free accounts will be removed globally on November 26, coinciding with Thanksgiving in the US.
It will allow extended Zoom video calls for all customers from 0:00 am (midnight) ET on Thursday, November 26 to 6:00 am ET on Friday, November 27 (coincidentally, Black Friday).
In the UK, from 5 a.m. M. From November 26 to 11 a.m. M. The next day.
In a post on Twitter, Zoom said the tme extension was planned “as a thank you to our customers” and to ensure that “family gatherings are not interrupted.”

Zoom generally limits free calls between accounts to 40 minutes, after which users must restart a call. Paid users do not have a time limit for calls.
The rise of video calling services and, in particular, Zoom has been extraordinary during these far-from-ordinary times. The service also won the Product of the Year category at the 2020 EE Pocket-lint Awards, which were announced online during a virtual presentation show.
