Fantastical is adding a variety of new features to the Mac in conjunction with this week’s macOS Big Sur release. Fantastical for Mac features an updated design to fit the new Big Sur aesthetic, along with widget support, Apple Silicon optimization, and more.

Support for widgets in Notification Center is one of the major changes in macOS 11 Big Sur, and Fantastical is one of the first apps to support the new widgets. The new widgets are very similar to those that arrived on the iPhone and iPad with iOS 14. To customize your macOS Big Sur widgets, click on the Notification Center, then look for the “Edit Widgets” button at the bottom.

Today’s Fantastical update also includes support for Apple Silicon, so the app will run natively on early Mac M1s when they start rolling out to customers next week. Fantastical’s overall design language has also been revised to match macOS Big Sur’s lighter, more translucent design.
