The Nigerian Super Eagles players have received medical clearance to play in tonight’s AFCON qualifier against the Sierra Leone Leone Stars. Covid-19 testing of all players and team officials returned negative results Thursday night, further raising the spirits of the three-time African champions ahead of Day 3 of the AFCON 2021 qualifying series. .
It is the third time in just a few weeks that the entire Super Eagles delegation would test negative for the dreaded Covid-19, following previous tests and results before international friendly matches against Algeria and Tunisia in Austria last month.

Group L leaders Nigeria will earn a spot in the AFCON final scheduled for Cameroon if they win on Friday, and will also bring out the best of the Leone Stars in Tuesday’s comeback at Siaka Stevens Stadium in Freetown.
The Nigerian Football Federation confirmed on Thursday that the Super Eagles delegation for the return leg in Freetown will travel aboard a chartered flight to the Sierra Leone capital on Monday and fly back to Abuja immediately after the match.
