At Harry Potter universe, Ron Weasley goes on to have two children with Hermione, Rose, and Hugo Granger-Weasley, but in real life, Rupert Grint shares a son with his longtime girlfriend, Georgia Groome. As the couple have always been notoriously private about their relationship, it is not surprising that they shared their daughter’s name publicly six months after she was born; Not to mention, it took Rupert until 2020 to create an Instagram account to share the name in the first place!
While we’re not sure how much we’ll see of Rupert and Georgia’s little girl in the future, here’s everything we know about her so far.
Wednesday G. Grint
Rupert and Georgia’s first and only child, a daughter named Wednesday, was born in early May. The news that Georgia was expecting broke at the end of her pregnancy, on April 10, and the news of the birth came less than a month later. And on the subject of dates, Wednesday’s birth comes less than two years after Rupert said The Guardian: “I’d like to sit down and have kids soon. If I had a son, would you call him Ron? It’s a pretty good name, but probably not. And Grint is a difficult name to combine with a one-syllable name. They nailed it with Wednesday, right?
We still don’t know much about the little girl, apart from her first name and middle initial, maybe her middle name is Georgia, after her mom? Or is it possibly Granger, as a nod to Rupert’s fictional wife? Only time will tell (maybe!), But we hope to get some more details about her soon and glimpses of her as she grows older.
