Australian operator Telstra improved its features on Google Nest devices, offering an incoming call feature, a move to help customers stay connected at home.
In a statement, the company said it was the only operator in the country that offered “this smart and new way to connect,” building on a previous step that enabled outbound calls on Google Nest and Google Home devices.
Telstra said customers will be able to use the smart speaker to find out who is calling and set up a voice command to answer a call.
The operator noted that it was “the ultimate hands-free solution,” helping people “multitask efficiently while juggling different things at home in these difficult times, whether it’s talking to family and friends or taking phone calls from the home. job”.
Users can also find their phone by asking Google to call their number, and they can answer calls even when their phone is off.
Devices that can use the input feature include Google Nest Mini, Home, Home Max, Nest Hub, and Nest Hub Max.
