An unconfirmed video posted by a member of the public appears to show several men, who they believe are the attackers, standing shirtless, unarmed and with their arms raised. They say the video shows the arrest of the Vienna attackers.
The video was taken through the window of a nearby apartment.
Authorities have not confirmed whether all the attackers have been arrested or not.

So we unpacked that Vienna Police update a bit.
Authorities have confirmed that it was not a single shooting attack, but spread to six different locations. It is unclear if these were the same attackers moving to six different locations or if they were simultaneous attacks.
Seitenstettengasse Square was the first of these locations, and the attacked consisted of several people armed with rifles.
A suspect has been shot and killed by the police, this is the only confirmed death at this time.
Several people were injured, including a police officer.

It is not clear how many died in a terrorist attack
Austrian national broadcaster ORF says emergency services in Vienna report “several deaths and injuries”.
The Guardian cannot confirm this, but local media reports have suggested that between three and eight people have died. This has not been verified by the authorities at this time.
The APA news agency previously reported an update from the Austrian Interior Ministry stating that an attacker was “dead”.

While many of the initial reports suggested that the attack was on the Stadttempel synagogue, the Vienna Jewish community Oskar Deutsch confirmed that the temple and nearby offices were closed at the time.
Here is his statement on Twitter.
With a rough translation, he says: “It cannot be said at the moment if Stadttempel was one of the targets. However, what is certain is that both the Seitenstettengasse synagogue and the office building at the same address were no longer in operation and were closed at the time of the first shots ”.
In any case, shots were fired in the vicinity of Stadttempel. All parishioners were asked not to enter the public thoroughfare and to remain in locked rooms until the security authorities gave the go-ahead.

Hello and thank you for joining us.
Several people have been injured in Vienna, after an “apparent terrorist attack” near a synagogue, with one of several attackers arrested.
Several shots were fired near Schwedenplatz in central Vienna on Monday night, according to police, near a major synagogue.
Interior Minister Karl Nehammer said several people were injured and some are believed to have died.
“For the moment I can confirm that we believe this is an apparent terrorist attack,” he told Austrian broadcaster ORF.
The police have urged residents to stay away from all public places or public transportation.
Recently, the APA news agency reported an update from the Austrian Interior Ministry, which said that one attacker was “dead” and another “on the run”, while a police officer was seriously injured. A second attacker has been arrested.
The president of the Jewish community in Vienna, Oskar Deutsch, said that shots had been fired “in the immediate vicinity” of the Stadttempel synagogue, but added that it is currently unknown whether the synagogue itself has been the target of an attack.
He said the synagogue and office buildings at the same address were closed at the time of the attack.
“It sounded like firecrackers, then we realized it was gunshots,” said a witness quoted by ORF.
Vienna police have urged people not to share videos and photos via social media. “This endangers both the police forces and the civilian population,” they said on Twitter.
