Turkish Minister of Health, Fahrettin Koca tweeted that 120 people were injured and four died, and he noted that medical experts are on the scene.

Tunc Soye, the mayor of Izmir, a coastal city in Turkey, told CNN that at least 20 buildings were destroyed.

Yiannis Stamoulis, governor of the Samos region, told the AP that residents were asked to leave their homes due to the aftershocks.

Samos Deputy Mayor Giorgos Dionysiou told the New York Times some buildings were damaged, but there are no immediate reports of injuries.

Samos residents were asked to avoid the coast and a tsunami watch was issued, according to AP.
