A candidate for the November free PlayStation Plus game has been postponed to February 2021

It was speculated that Sony might choose to release Destruction AllStars as a PlayStation Plus title, given that it could be overshadowed by other games during that month and appears to be the type of game that would benefit from a free PS Plus boost.

Well, that was only half true.

Destruction AllStars will be a free PlayStation Plus offer, but that idea, and the entire game, was delayed until February 2021, where it will hit PS5 for two full months instead of the usual, and probably in addition to the other. games that are free those months.

Technically, you could already pre-order the game before its release in November, so Sony is now offering refunds given that it has been confirmed to be on PlayStation Plus next year. We still don’t know what real PS Plus games will still be available for November, but that announcement should arrive shortly.

Lucid Games has worked on Need for Speed ​​Payback before, and this was going to be a major release for them. The problem? It was going to release on November 12 on PS5 and would have to compete with Demon’s Souls, Miles Morales, and Godfall, in addition to all the other third-party games that would be released that week, and it’s easy to see how it probably would have turned out. buried as a result. It should have much, much less competition in February, and many more players will be trying it as a free PS Plus game for two months, as Sony clearly would love to get another Rocket League or Fall Guys on their hands. I don’t imagine any of those games would have been as successful if they were released the same week as ten other giant games, so ultimately it seems like a good decision.
