The unexpected sequel arrived on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, October 23, 2020 and rewards fans with a host of fun and shocking moments.

Who is Jeanise Jones in Borat 2?

After Borat discovers that she needs money to pay for her teenage daughter’s breast implants, Tutar Sagdiyev played by Maria Bakalova, decides that she should go out and collect the rest of the money.
Meanwhile, he leaves her with a babysitter and she is clearly in shock at Borat’s treatment of Tutar; He instructs Jeanise to give him water from an animal bowl and equips her with a ball and chain that he claims makes her feel safe.
In a later scene, Jeanise dispels Borat’s myths that women can’t read or drive, etc., explaining, “I understand what you’re saying, that your dad told you that, but that’s not the real world.”
Later, perhaps the most moving scene of the film comes when Jeanise explains to Tutar that she does not need surgery and that she is beautiful the way she is: “You are pretty and you are young and any man should like you the way you are. . You shouldn’t want to be anyone but yourself. “
The conversation enlightens Tutar and she decides not to have the surgery and instead pursues a career as a journalist.
Borat then goes to visit Jeanise to retrieve the ball and chain and she explains that her actions should hurt him.
“Shouldn’t she make the decision about who she marries?” she asks him.
It is a fundamental scene of the film in which Borat realizes what he must do.
Borat 2: Is Jeanise Jones in on the joke?
It is unclear if Jeanise Jones knew that Borat was actually Sacha Baron Cohen. However, there are reasons to suspect that this was the case.
After seeing Borat’s treatment of her daughter, she probably would have called officials to report the abuse. Also, the presence of the cameras and the absurdity of Borat’s actions (ball and chain, and all) would probably have revealed the gag to her if she hadn’t been aware from the start.
The exchanges between her and Tutar, and in particular Borat, feel quite guided and it is her wisdom that really drives the narrative.
If not for his vision of the car, Tutar would not have escaped his father and facilitated the rest of the plot. This can also be said of the scene between her and Borat towards the last act, as it is her pep talk that encourages Borat to intervene at the hotel.
With this in mind, it is likely that the scenes with Jeanise were written, or at least conceived as part of the film’s narrative.
