2K Games has issued a statement regarding the recent reaction following the post-launch introduction of ads that cannot be skipped in NBA 2K21.

The publisher took to Twitter on October 21 to address the matter, acknowledging that the announcements had “impacted our player experience in a way that we did not intend. He explained that the ads “were not intended to run as part of the pre-game introduction” and that the issue would “be fixed in future episodes.”

However, it’s also worth noting that 2K Games has not confirmed that it will remove ads from the game entirely. Instead, the publisher noted that “in recent years, ads have been integrated into segments of 2KTV.”
