October 20, 2020 – NASA aims to build a lunar base capable of maintaining a human presence on the moon’s surface by 2028. The base will include technologies such as power generation, robotics, and fourth-generation (4G) cellular network technology. Using small cell technology adapted for extreme temperatures and radiation on the moon, the network will transmit HD video, navigation and data transmission.
