Mass Effect Legendary Edition has been rated in South Korea

Fans have been eagerly awaiting a possible Mass Effect trilogy remaster for what seems like forever, and it seems like it may be closer than we think.

As Gematsu reported, the Korean Games Management and Classification Committee has rated an unannounced Mass Effect Legendary Edition.

Last month, a Portuguese retailer included the Mass Effect Trilogy trilogy for PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, but nothing has been announced since the charts went up.

November 7 marks N7 Day, a day when BioWare celebrates the rich history of Mass Effect with fans of the series. Typically includes announcements and updates on upcoming projects for the Mass Effect franchise.

Last year’s N7 day was a bit of a disappointment, adding Mass Effect-themed emotes to the shaky Anthem, just months before the BioWare team started rebuilding it from scratch due to negative reviews and fan comments.

After the disappointing release of Mass Effect Andromeda, fans have been clamoring for a new entry in the series. While BioWare is currently working on Dragon Age 4, rumors began circulating late last year that a new entry in the Mass Effect series was in early development.

In an interview with BioWare Executive Producer Mark Darrah, he reaffirmed that “they are definitely not done with Mass Effect,” as well as saying, “there are many stories to tell.”

While we’re unlikely to see a new Mass Effect game any time soon, we’ll be happy to settle for that remastering trilogy in the meantime.
