Sony is making some major changes to its PlayStation Trophy system, which was first seen on its PS3 console. The new trophy system has been made for the release of the next PS5 console and the changes are now available for many PSN profiles. Under the old system, the PSN trophy level was limited to 100. This made it quite difficult for players to see great progress, as the number slowly increased for each trophy won.

Is there a bug in the PS4 trophy level?
Sony is increasing the range of trophy levels for all PlayStation users, bringing the number up to 999 (highest trophy level). This will allow players to have a better understanding of their progress. The company has already implemented the change for many users based on the overall trophies they have earned over time. The difference is quite significant, making users wonder if this is some kind of glitch on Sony’s part.
As you know, the level change is actually planned by Sony and is clearly not a technical problem of any kind. However, the sudden jump in levels can seem a bit surprising to fans. This is because a user who has an overall trophy level of 12 will now climb to somewhere around the low 200. Sony will calculate this number based on the total number and ratings of PSN trophies they have won in the past.
