Microsoft CEO for Xbox Game Marketing Aaron Greenberg defended his consoles in answer to the question of a fan on Twitter.
“The console will emit system heat through the exhaust, just like any other console. Our engineering team confirmed that the heat coming out of the console is not significantly different from the Xbox One X. This matches my experience at home, quiet, fast and with impressive power for the size. “

The question is also unique considering that it looks at the performance of the X Series when it comes to backward compatibility. However, Aaron’s response is loud and clear, which puts a lot in perspective.

The X Series overheating saga began when a certain publication made a series of claims that the consoles worked too much. Although there were concerns that the sources were authentic, this was all soon debunked. Individual sources issued their own responses, stating that it was just a scenario where things were exaggerated by the post and nothing more.

The cooling of the Xbox Series X is very different from its Sony counterpart. It has a vapor chamber and a heat sink with a parallel cooling system. This allows the console to operate at optimal temperatures with vertical airflow, which also makes it easy to pack everything into a compact box.
The PS5, on the other hand, has a bulkier design that allows more space for a larger heat sink and airflow. Both consoles are marvels of engineering in their own way.
All statements about the heating issues of these consoles should be taken with a grain of salt. Unless users experience these problems first-hand, these claims cannot be true. In addition to this, these companies have spent a fortune in the development of these consoles. There is no way they will free them with such persistent problems.
