Apple stores may be getting iPad Air, but no iPhone 12 shipments

A couple of weeks ago, we received information that stated that Apple would launch its new line of iPhone 12 on October 13. Last week, Jon Prosser posted a tweet, where he claimed that Apple would be preparing to ship its new iPhone to distributors so soon. like last monday. The first information was confirmed, as Apple recently published an invitation for its next digital-only event. The second might not be entirely accurate, as Apple stores may have started receiving new devices, but these would be the new iPad Air models.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, shipments of a new Apple device have started arriving in Apple stores “to open at a later date.” This is expected to be the newest iPad Air model, which could go on sale sometime in October as it believes it is too early for iPhones to hit stores.

The latest iPad Air model was unveiled during Apple’s September 15 event, but unfortunately, we didn’t get a specific release date for this device. This new device will come with the same Apple A14 Bionic chip as the upcoming iPhone line, so perhaps Apple has decided to wait until the iPhone 12 is available to launch. That way, it would also prevent benchmark scores and more chip details from leaking ahead of the iPhone introduction.

Perhaps things would have been different if Apple had managed to launch its new iPhones in September, as it has done in previous years. Whatever the case, we may see the iPad Air officially launch after the event on October 13, or perhaps when the iPhone 12 becomes available for purchase. Now if you want to know everything that is going to happen during next week’s Apple event, you should look at the latest leak detailing everything that we are supposed to receive.
