ADDIS ABABA- Beneshangul-Gmuz State Pawi General Hospital announced that it has been nominated as one of the leading health institutions to coordinate integrity for the provision of quality medical services from hospitals in the region.
Nemera Iticha, chief medical officer, told The Ethiopian Herald that the hospital has been designated as a leading institute in providing medical facilities and fulfilling the ever-increasing responsibilities widely observed in the healthcare sector.
“We are working with all interested agencies in a very close and attentive way to guarantee and promote the accessibility of medical services in a fast and quality way in the state. Therefore, we will strengthen our commitment to that end. The hospital has improved access for patients to medical services and also made reforms to the health center in the previous year. “
Noting that the hospital has been fulfilling its responsibilities by providing medical facilities to the Metekle area, namely the Gilgel Beles, Dabati and Manbuk health care centers, he said adding that it has also played its role in improving the centers for undergo medical surgery on your own ability.
However, deficiencies in relation to the provision of some medical facilities are preventing the hospital from providing medical services as requested, the director revealed.
He also described that the hospital has medical class limitations, modern digital X-ray equipment and CT scans. So these are the challenges that institutes are currently facing.
Pawi General Hospital is one of the public hospitals in the region, located in the town of Pawi, Metekle area of Pawi Woreda. The hospital was established in 1973.
