As expected, the images have been updated. Need For Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered supports 4K gaming on PC, PS4 Pro, and Xbox One X, and can run in 1080p at 30 frames per second on Switch in docked mode. However, EA did not explain how well it will work on next-gen consoles.
The game has a number of other visual enhancements, including higher resolution models, more items and accessories, and a longer draw distance on Switch. On the other platforms, it has higher resolution reflections and improved textures, among other updates.
There are more achievements, colors, and car wraps, along with reduced hard stops, a revamped photo mode, and other quality of life updates. All of the main downloadable content, offering an additional six hours of gameplay and dozens more challenges, is included and available on launch day.
EA has put a greater emphasis on cross-play in recent months, and there is full cross-platform support here too. Need For Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered it also uses the original game’s Autolog system to track and compare player stats and race results. Stellar Entertainment, who worked on Burnout Paradise Remastered and has original developers Hot chase Studio Criterion Games handled this remastering.
