But the developer insists that it is not a service game.
You will need to be connected to the Internet to enjoy the PlayStation 5 exclusive Godfall when it launches on November 12, despite the developer’s insistence that it is not a “service game.” Confirmation is courtesy of the Twitter account of the launch, after fans saw a “required online play” disclaimer on the official PlayStation product page for the next-gen hack-and-slash title.
“Godfall is not a service game, but it does require an internet connection to play,” said a spokesperson. It’s unclear why the requirement is met, but it goes without saying that fans are unhappy. Some pointed out that the title won’t be playable if their servers ever shut down, but we’d like to think that won’t happen for a few years yet, especially if the title is successful.
Has this put you off buying Godfall, or weren’t you interested in the first place? Make sure you have a connection in the comment section below.
