Ubisoft has released a new trailer for the story of the highly anticipated Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, before the game’s release in November.
The trailer shows the main protagonist Eivor (portrayed as a man) as he begins planning the Viking invasion of England, after his brother Sigurd returns from a conquest. As the trailer progresses, players can see the multiple kingdoms that rule England and the numerous ways the Vikings can overthrow them.
The trailer also features a mysterious assassin, who appears to be Eivor’s mentor on his quest to conquer England. Towards the end of the clip, the anonymous killer warns Eivor of “an invisible darkness, an unknowable threat” that is tied to the fate of England.
“Eivor will face powerful figures, including the Saxon kings and warmongering sons of Ragnar Lothbrok, as well as a mysterious and growing threat to the fate of England,” the official description of the trailer reads.
Check out the trailer below.
While the story trailer primarily focuses on the male version of Eivor, players will have the freedom to switch between the male or female version of the character at any point in the game. Ubisoft has made sure to assure players that the Eivor genre will not affect the game’s story in any way.
