Prince George has received a unique gift.
The 7-year-old royalty recently met Sir David Attenborough, known for narrating documentary series like “Planet Earth,” who offered George a shark tooth.
George, as well as his parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton, and his other siblings, Charlotte and Louis, joined the renowned broadcaster for an outdoor screening of his new documentary “David Attenborough: A Life on Our Planet.”
Photos of the gift exchange were shared on Instagram by Kensington Palace on Saturday, indicating in caption that 94-year-old Attenborough had visited the palace earlier in the week.

In the post there was a photo of William watching the movie with the “Our Planet” narrator, as well as two photos of the family.
In one photo, George admires the shark tooth.
“When they met, Sir David gave Prince George a tooth from a giant shark, whose scientific name is carcharocles megalodon (‘big tooth’),” the caption reads.

While that gift is unique in itself, that particular fossil was special to Attenborough.
“Sir David found the tooth on a family vacation to Malta in the late 1960s, embedded in the island’s smooth yellow limestone that was laid during the Miocene period some 23 million years ago,” the post continues. “Carcharocles is believed to have grown to 15 meters in length, which is roughly twice the length of the Great White, the largest shark alive today.”
According to People magazine, Middleton, 38, revealed that she counts Attenborough among the favorite celebrities she has met.
In addition, the royal parents joined Attenborough for the upcoming William documentary “Prince William: A Planet for Us All,” a reunion to which their sons were not invited.
