Even Apple’s harshest critics will have to admit that the Cupertino-based tech giant changed the game in the wearable market with the Apple Watch. However, the watch remains elusive for many, due to the price, and retains an air of exclusivity, due to the limitations of the Apple ecosystem. This is where Samsung made a smart move with its Galaxy Watch to hook those who want a smartwatch that they can use with their Android phones. The Galaxy Watch 3 is Samsung’s latest salvo on the Apple Watch.

The Galaxy Watch 3 comes in two sizes, 41mm and 45mm, and it features a leather strap, which is comfortable and looks stylish. It has a traditional circular design and a rotating bezel that can be used to navigate the interface. The bezel works perfectly and is quite pleasant to use. There are two buttons on the right side of the watch for the start / stop and return / start functions.

The Galaxy Watch 3 is heavier but comfortable for everyday use. The 1.4-inch Super AMOLED screen is really bright and even in outdoor conditions the texts are easy to read. The always-on display feature is present on the Galaxy Watch 3.

We tested the Watch 3 with the Galaxy S20 and the iPhone 11 Pro Max. Needless to say, it works best with an Android phone.

The only way the Galaxy Watch 3 scores highly over the Apple Watch is the battery. At best, the Apple Watch lasts no more than 18 hours, but the Galaxy Watch 3 can easily last a day and a half.

The Galaxy Watch 3 runs TizenOS, which is not as good as watchOS but is easy to understand and navigate. The rotating bezel, a standout feature of Samsung watches, made it very easy to use.

The Galaxy Watch 3 comes with the Exynos 9110 dual-core processor and has 1GB of RAM and 8GB of onboard storage. There are also sensors like accelerometer, barometer, and gyroscope. Health and fitness features like heart rate monitor and sleep tracking work very well on the Watch 3.

At Rs 29,990, the Galaxy Watch 3 is arguably the world’s best Android smartwatch due to its design, features, and ease of use.
