PepsiCo soft drink brand Mountain dew announced an in-game activation and expanded partnership with PUBG Mobile. The deal will see product placement in the game through the “Mountain Dew Fuel Stations” and will be available for players to experience for a limited time. Additionally, in some international markets, specially marked Mountain Dew product purchases will allow customers to redeem prizes and rewards in-game. Along with this, Mountain Dew will also remain the official beverage sponsor of the PUBG Mobile Pro League, Americas, World League and Global Championship 2020.

Mountain Dew has worked with PUBG MOBILE in the past, as a “platinum” sponsor of the PUBG Mobile Pro League South Asia. However, with the game being banned in India, the fate of the tournament’s second season is currently undecided. The new agreement was facilitated through the Indian tournament sports company, NODWIN Games (NODWIN Gaming is a client and minority investor in AFK Gaming). He has a long-standing relationship with Mountain Dew and has been hosting Dew Arena, one of the nation’s leading esports events for several years in a row.

Financial details of the association were not disclosed.
