For the first time in the modern history of the franchise, it has been confirmed that there will be no demo for the next release of FIFA.
EA Sports posted a statement on social media last night explaining the controversial decision, and the company dropped the feature to focus on “delivering the best comprehensive gaming experience for current and next-gen consoles.”
FIFA 21 has already been pushed back from its usual September release date due to the coronavirus pandemic and now, fans will have to wait even longer to get a taste of the action.
in a statement on Twitter, EA explained their reasons behind abandoning the highly anticipated demo, which is generally available three to four weeks before the title’s official release date.
“We are not launching a demo for FIFA 21.” they wrote. “Instead, we have made the decision to focus our development team’s time on delivering the best all-round gaming experience for current and next-gen consoles.
“We expect EA PLAY members to jump out in 10 days and release the game on October 9.”

Fans had previously speculated on social media that the FIFA 21 demo would be released on September 22 based on previous editions, but EA of course confirmed that will not happen.
That being said, EA Play will go ahead on October 1, giving fans 10 hours of access to the game.
This is how social media reacted to the news.
Nah nah nah, this is good, communication, this is what we want, I know it’s 1 tweet but it’s something at least

Fair play, spend your time focusing on the best all-round gaming experience.
Do not be disappointed, since the first time that many will be able to play will be through a paid version.
Do not do it. Leave. The. Fans. Down. :Thumbs up:

Just do it # FIFA21 Okay. That is all we want. Please.
No demo. Late launch of the game. Everything is understandable in the current COVID problems. Don’t let us down when you DO launch the game.
