Bloober Team had developed a dark cyberpunk thriller known as Observer in 2017. The studio recently announced that it plans to release a remastered and expanded version of the game. The developers have decided to call this new version, ‘Observer: System Redux’. While for a long time the Bloober Team had their lips sealed on the remake, they finally released some information.
The development team confirmed that the remastered version will be exclusive to the console. So they will release it only for PlayStation and Xbox, and that too only on next-gen consoles, namely PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S.
Observer Chart Comparison
The biggest difference between the 2017 version and the new version is the remastered graphics. To support next-gen consoles, which feature 8K support, Bloober decided to optimize its game graphics.
Here, players can see the difference between the original version and System Redux. Graphics look much more realistic and fluid. Bloober also released a video detailing the changes Redux brings to the game and how the role of consoles is very essential.
In the video, game developer Tomasz Bentkowski can be heard saying: “We have been able to create more immersive worlds with the next generation consoles.“
The game seems to focus on how the new consoles would change the future of gaming. Tomasz credited next-gen 4K technology for helping the game represent an even more dystopian and cyberpunk world. All this would not be possible without causing effects such as rain, fog, smoke, etc. appear much more realistic.
New Features Trailer
Bloober Team also released a trailer highlighting the new features they have added to the game to make it different from the original. Features include next-gen graphics, 4K / 60FPS support, and ray tracing, among others.
The game looks very promising. In addition, it takes full advantage of all the advantages offered by the latest generation consoles. More details and updates on the game are available on its website.
